Sveza successfully passes annual environmental compliance audit

Sveza’s plywood mills have successfully passed the annual audit for compliance with the three major international formaldehyde emission regulations: CARB ATCM, EPA TSCA Title VI, and CANFER, reaffirming that Sveza’s plywood meets the Ultra-Low Emitting Formaldehyde (ULEF) classification. This means that the company’s products are safe for indoor use, including residential spaces and children’s furniture.

Since 2010, all of Sveza’s plywood mills have been exempt from mandatory CARB Phase 2 certification. This exemption is granted to manufacturers whose products consistently meet the stricter ULEF emission standards. Sveza has been undergoing annual supervisory audits since 2020, to maintain this status.

The 2025 audit was once again carried out by the independent accredited certification body PFS TECO, and covered all stages of production, from incoming resin analysis and control of key process parameters to testing of finished plywood. In addition to regular in-house emission testing, product samples are periodically verified at an accredited laboratory in China.

The audit reaffirmed the robustness of Sveza’s quality control systems and strict adherence to regulatory requirements. Laboratory data and audit findings once again demonstrated the high quality and environmental safety of the company's plywood.
“CARB is more than just a certificate. It is proof of safety for people and the environment,” said Olga Kukut, Head of Process Development and Quality Assurance at Sveza Group. “Once again, we’ve demonstrated our ability to produce plywood with formaldehyde emission levels comparable to natural, unprocessed wood. This ensures our products can be safely used in applications such as children’s furniture and interior design.”
